HOW DO I JOIN? Please contact us and our Membership Vice President will reach out to you with more information. You are able to attend two trial play dates. Once you’re ready to join, you’ll fill out a short application and pay $35 yearly dues.
WHAT DO THE DUES PAY FOR? Our dues are $35 per year and pay for things like the Meetup app, parties, service projects and our MOMS Club International registration. We are an IRS-registered, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so any money collected is exclusively used for our events and charitable activities. I DO NOT RESIDE WITHIN YOUR BOUNDARIES, IS THERE A MOMS CLUB IN MY AREA? Visit www.momsclub.org to find a chapter on your area. If your area is not currently served by a MOMS Club chapter, please consider starting your own!
DO I HAVE TO BE A STAY-AT-HOME MOM TO JOIN? No, many of our members work part time, work from home or have flexible hours. If you spend time with your kids during the day, then we have a lot of activities for you and your children to participate in! DO I HAVE TO ATTEND A MINIMUM NUMBER OF ACTIVITIES EVERY MONTH? No, you can attend as many or as few activities as you want. We encourage our members to participate in as much as they can! The more you participate, the more connections you’ll make with other families.
DO YOUR ACTIVITIES COST MONEY? The majority of our activities are free. Sometimes we will have an activity on the calendar that costs money like going to museums, indoor play places, lunch dates, or MOMS' Night Out. We understand that being a stay-at-home mom can be a financial sacrifice for your family, so we try to keep activities that cost money to a minimum.
CAN MY CHILD ATTEND ALL MOMS CLUB ACTIVITIES? Children may attend almost all of our events! The only exception is to the monthly MOMS' Night Out which is a chance for us to have some time away from the kids.
WHO ORGANIZES AND HOSTS YOUR ACTIVITIES? Our moms do! All members are allowed and encouraged to host events. We have volunteer members in charge of creating/coordinating certain types of play dates and events monthly like stroller walks, crafts and visiting local parks.
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE PLANNED FOR THE MONTH? We currently use Facebook for our events and post a lot at the beginning of the month, but a lot of moms like to add as the month progresses. Everyone is encouraged to create events that work with their schedule. WHAT ARE THE MOMS IN YOUR CLUB LIKE? Our moms love making new friends and are always welcoming! We come from lots of different backgrounds, range in ages and are new moms all the way to experienced moms. Something we have in common is a commitment to raising our kids the best way we can and by supporting each other along that journey.
WHAT AGES ARE THE KIDS IN YOUR CLUB? The kids in our club range from newborns to teens! However, our activities are generally geared towards kids who are babies to early elementary age. Kids of all ages are welcome at the majority of our events.
DO YOU HAVE A RELIGIOUS AFFILIATION? No, we are not affiliated with any religious organizations.
HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE CHARITIES YOU SUPPORT? Our members vote for the local charities we support. We also do a number of community drives and service projects throughout the year, and we support MOMS Club International’s Mother-to-Mother Fund, which helps members in crisis situations and in need of financial assistance.
WHO LEADS YOUR CLUB? We are led by a board of five volunteer members who are elected by the club. The board includes the President, Administrative Vice President, Treasurer, Membership Vice President and Secretary.
